Introducing: Groundwork Intensive

A 4-week horsemanship intensive designed for stewards who want more ease, joy, and trust with their horse starting on the ground.

This isn’t about harsh methods, gimmicks, or quick fixes.

This is about building the relationship you dreamed of step by step, from the ground up.

After the 4 week virtual intensive, you’ll have an opportunity to join me in person at my training facility to work over a weekend for hands on support.

What you’ll learn

In the first week we’ll learn about:
- Pressure and release
- Timing
- How horses move
And we’ll put it all together to learn how to isolate particular body parts to create specific movements and outcomes, and why this is so important that it’s always the first thing I teach.
In week 2, we’ll learn about:
- How horses think
- What motivates them
- Natural herd dynamics
And we’ll use this to learn how to regulate ourselves and our horses
Week 3 is all about sending your horse out of your space by:
- Claiming space
- Connecting at distance
- Lunging
We’ll use these concepts to add space and speed to the work we have already begun, and add obstacles for the first time.
In our final virtual lesson we’ll learn how to draw our horses in using body language and intrigue.
Then we’ll put together everything. we have learned so far to bring in liberty work.
At the in person portion of this clinic, we’ll iron out any sticky points and fine tune what we have already learned, plus, we’ll work through obstacles, learn choreography, and practice powerful regulating techniques in real time.
